If there be noble and benevolent men around, men who understand strategic assistance, men who can support and guarantee the future of his young people, Mr. Segun Ajayi is one of the few you can find.
Born into the family of Eshinavaka of Ufa quarters in Igarra, Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State, Mr. Segun Ajayi had his primary and secondary education in the north, Army Children School and Air Force Secondary School both in Kaduna where he both distinguished himself in character and learning.
Determined to secure a veritable place in the future, he proceeded to the prestigious Federal University of Technology, Minna, where he obtained his first degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng).
He did not rest on his oars in equipping himself for the future. He moved and acquired numerous relative professional certificates.
He is today, SAP, ASAP focus certified, SAP Solution Manager trained and CBAP- International Institute for Business Analysis (IIBA) certified.
Mr. Segun Ajayi, is an extremely versatile project manager, certified Business process consultant and a business analyst of years of project management, with business and solution consulting experience.
He has worked on several large full life cycle implementations of SAP projects in Oil & Gas, Banking and Mining/Cement manufacturing projects.
As a lead Consultant of teams of varied sizes, he has achieved overall project objectives to the satisfaction of his clients.
On all of these projects, he has successfully managed and completed tasks and activities within the following areas; Training, Blue Printing, Configuration, Data Migration, Change Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Business Process Definition and Requirement Gathering and Analysis for clients such as Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), Newmont Ghana Gold Limited (a Subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation of America), Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nigeria Liquidfied Natural Gas (NLNG), Shell Exploration & Production Company (SNEPCo), Oceanic Bank PLC, Obajana Cement PLC, TotalFinalElf Nigeria (UNISUP) Project just to mention but few.
AJ, as he is fondly called by colleagues and admirers, has a very strong and proven understanding of project methodologies and industry best practices with an ability to analyze and identify issues for quick resolution.
As a strong advocate and believer of good governance, Mr. Segun Ajayi is a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and he is a Governor Godwin Obaseki’s replica, who believes in strategic thinking and implementation of ideas that would impact majorly on majority of the people.
During the 2016 governorship campaigns in Edo State, MR. Segun Ajayi donated branded T-shirts, Caps and other campaign materials in thousands to support the campaigns of GGO in Akoko-Edo without making any noise about it, a character that is synonymous to that of the amiable disposition of Governor Godwin Obaseki that earned him the indentation “Wake and See” and uncommon with majority of the politicians we find around today.
Humble and humane with a heart of philanthropy prepared and always ready to help the needy and downtrodden, Mr. Segun Ajayi has embarked on many voyage of rescue to give succor and meaning to lives of many far and near him.
Just recently, at the resumption of the 2017/2018 academic session for primary and secondary schools in Edo S tate, Mr. Segun Ajayi, in his usual characteristic mien of giving and believe, that, education is not a privilege but a right, printed tens of thousands of writing materials which included notebooks, pens and other teaching aids and distributed same to primary school pupils across the various primary schools in Akoko-Edo, of his immediate constituency, fulfilling the saying that charity begins at home.
Reacting to commendations from his people, he said “I believe in a sound Basic Education for our Children, it is the “Passport” to the future required by every child to access a globally competitive tomorrow. The “Key” every child requires to unlock the opportunities of the future” . “Silver nor Gold I have not, all I have for my people is love and a commitment to see that an average Akoko-Edo child is able to read and write, so that any where he finds himself he would not feel isolated and unable to relate with his or her contemporary”. “I also see it, as more important a gift to give to my people, which to me is way above the arms giving that wouldn’t cater for today not to talk of tomorrow. But when you educate a child today, you strengthen him for tomorrow’s challenges”.
He stated further, “I am inspired and encouraged by the reforms and policy implementation of the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki. His believe in strengthening Technical and Basic Education will no doubt has a far reaching benefit for our children. This initiative should be encouraged by all Sons and Daughters of our dear State”. He stated.
His confidence, belief and support for the Edo project as being implemented by Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, lives much to desire!
According to him, Edo State and Akoko-Edo will be great again!
