I want to appreciate all our national leaders including Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the jagaban of the whole universe, I would also love to appreciate the man who lay the foundation for the party; Bisi Akande and also all our executive governors who have come from the length and breadth of the country to demonstrate what our slogan depicts and also our ministers.
I want to appreciate our candidate, the man who we have all come here to identify with, my own comrade, a man I met outside the shores of this country with the message of struggle for democracy and democratic governance and he has raised ekiti politics to an amiable level.
Four years (4) ago, you all voted for him but the government at that time do not reckon with the one man one vote policy and he was cheated out but now we are back. A popular adage saying “ the downfall of a man is not the end of his life” Today we all are here to give Fayemi support and to remind you of where you are coming from, where you are now and where your tomorrow would depending on how you cast your vote on Saturday. Comrade Fayemi I want to salute your courage and it is evident that you are following the footsteps of our president who has shown us that democracy is only for those who have the capacity for long distance running.
To my comrades you know how your situation was and you know how it is now, having dialogue with teachers, civil servants , local government workers and pensioners and the response was alarming to the fact that salaries have not been paid for a year but then you would remember that president Muhammadu Buhari asked Fayose and some others how do you sleep when they have not paid workers for one year and then Fayose collected the sum of 10 billion naira to go clear the salaries and pensions of ekiti workers but he failed to do so and the president did not lament but asked him not to repeat such which he did again and you all know where the money went to. When civil servants are not paid and house rents are being owed, the economy would not grow and this is because Fayose has brought a vicious Psycho of poverty to Ekiti state and am not surprised because he comes from Poverty Development Party and some people call them PDP or Papa deceive Pikin or Pikin Deceive Papa, Comrade Adams added.
Comrades I haven’t come to lament on the fact that Fayose is not doing well but we are here to give a message of hope and to make clear commitment which Fayose would keep and rather have we come to shed tears of the detrimental failure of Fayose government but we have brought hope of how Fayose would make a difference. When I met with the workers, I told them that I stand as a guarantor that when Fayemi comes to office so far you cast your vote wisely come Saturday he would start by paying the salary arrears of Ekiti workers which Fayose refused to pay.
About four (4) years ago, when I was a governor and PDP was going to make sure that I did not have the opportunity to come to ekiti and campaign for a city governor like Fayemi, my air craft was detained at the airport and I was denied movement and even some ministers today who were governors then were denied flight. I want to thank you Mr. President for showing that you are the father of the nation and you would not be tempted to do what they did. You did not come for vengeance and you did not follow their own tactics but you are here for correction and you would sustain the correction and the promised change and the change must take place on Saturday in Ekiti state.
Governor Fayose has been trying to divert everybody, he has abused everybody including INEC, Police and he is behaving like a typical arm robber shouting ‘Ewo ole Ewo Ole’ meaning see thief see thief and that would divert the police attention just to do what he has in plan but it would interest you all to know that this time his plots won’t work this time because he never learnt the act of electioneering campaign and he has no credible message and he has to result to primitive tactics. He even went ahead to give unlawful orders that shops should be shut down and transport workers should be at the government house so there won’t be movement of persons to the mega rally so I say this boy is a poor student of struggle.
President Buhari asked me how this people got here despite Fayose tactics, I replied him and said that the combined force and fighting spirit of Ekiti people would overcome every obstacle created by man and the president is extremely proud that you all are here and this would define what you would replicate on Saturday. I understand that he has called some workers to bring their pvc so he can monitor their votes and we are not surprised because he is behaving to his level, you would vote freely and nothing would happen .Any student, vice chancellor or rector that has been intimidated by Fayose, Fayemi would Elevate and anyone he has demoted, Fayemi would promote.
Remember and this is not flattery, the state with the lowest number of out of school population is Ekiti State, therefore you are most educated, therefore you are most educated even than the man who is trying to manipulate you. A People cannot grow faster than the intellectual capacity of his leadership. When your leadership is on mama put level, the state would grow on mama put level and you all know Fayemi, I understand that the one they are bringing said he is a professor and I went ahead to find anything or books that has been published by him been a professor in the library so as to get a window view on his personality and I asked the librarian to find a book written by the Fayemi running mate and nothing was found.
“O kowe o ni iwo professor, iron ii o n pa” meaning how do you become a professor if you did not publish any book. Please on Saturday go and cast your vote with your PVC.
Only yesterday, I heard there is an alliance between Volkswagen and Peugeot 404, they are they coming together to reinforce, I said when a man a man is dying, he clings to the dead to get life but can a dead man give life to the dead. I won’t say much on that today when the other election comes we would treat that. So trust the President, I and Fayemi because the president would give Fayemi all the support he needs and wants for the progress of the Ekiti people.
