As He Meets With Directors And Other Staff
The Edo State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr Christopher Adesotu has emphasized the need for Innovative approach towards policy formulation and implementation to drive the ministry of Science and Technology which is new in Edo State to its set goals. He stressed that the focus of his leadership is to develop science, and Information and Communication Technology to an enviable height that will be comparable to any developing nation in the world.
The Commissioner gave this charge while meeting with the Permanent Secretary, Directors and other staff of the ministry in his on-going cooperation and understanding moves to set the new ministry on course towards the set goals of the Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration for technological development.
While informing members of staff of his plans to adopt the Lagos State template with a consultant already made available by the state government, Adesotu mandated staff on commitment to responsibilities and encouraged the approach of asking questions for clarity of assignments while sounding a thorough warning against absenteeism, disappearance from office, lateness. He also gave a charge that no file must spend more than 48 hours on any table without getting the desired attention.
The Commissioner identified an unnamed female staff for applause and promised to issue queries on any staff of otherwise character. Moreso, placing direct responsibility on Directors for staff under their watch.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry on behalf of others, appreciated the Commissioner for his open mindedness and promised their maximum cooperation in making sure that his leadership achieves a remarkable success for the benefit of the State.
