…Adesotu Hails TETFUND Intervention

The commissioning of the Faculty of Life Sciences TETFUND building yesterday by the Edo State Governor who was duly represented by the Commissioner of Education Dr. Christopher Adesotu witnessed large presence of staff and students of the institution who could not hide their joy at the unveiling of a new architecture for conducive learning.

The tetfund project is in line with the state government’s desire to improve the quality of tertiary education in Edo State by providing good learning environment and infrastructure to advance the course of knowledge acquisition.

The students and staff of Ambrose Ali University (AAU) Ekpoma, were visibly engulfed in happiness as they thanked government for keeping to promise with the tetfund intervention in critical infrastructure in the school.

The Commissioner reminded the students that more facilities for learning will be provided as the goal of the government is to make AAU one of the best schools in the country. The commissioner also spoke on the need to cooperate with government for speedy development of the state.

He further encouraged the school management to ensure that facilities of this magnitude are maintained for the overall interest of the university and the intervention agency.

In response, the school management thanked government for keeping to promise as the gesture will improve learning in the faculty in no small measure, promising to continue in the part of management that will bring about global best practice in university administration.

It should be noted that the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) is a federal government disbursement to institutions for the improvement of higher education in the country.
